Cabell Huntington Hospital named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2025

Tuesday, January 28, 2025

Marshall Health Network is pleased to announce that Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) is one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for 2025.

There are thousands of hospitals in the U.S., however, only 2% are recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals. CHH is honored to be the only hospital in West Virginia and its surrounding region to be once again named to that list.

According to new research released by Healthgrades, this achievement puts CHH in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance, along with numerous other accolades from Healthgrades - Specialty Excellence Awards, State Rankings, etc. This is the third consecutive year the hospital has been among America’s 100 Best Hospitals and the seventh consecutive year the hospital has been among America’s 250 Best Hospitals (2019-2025).

“Cabell Huntington Hospital continues to demonstrate its commitment delivering exceptional care to our patients and community,” said Tim Martin, Chief Operating Officer of Cabell Huntington Hospital. “Earning a place among America’s 100 Best Hospitals for three years in a row is a reflection of the expertise and hard work of our entire team. We are truly thankful for our employees and physicians who made this possible.”

“Being recognized once again on a national level from Healthgrades speaks volumes about the level of care we offer at Cabell Huntington Hospital,” said Hoyt Burdick, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Marshall Health Network. “Our team has remained committed to the highest standards in patient safety and health care quality. This culture of quality and patient safety is shared by everyone at Cabell Huntington Hospital and is also demonstrated throughout Marshall Health Network.”

Unlike other hospital studies, Healthgrades ratings are based solely on what matters most: patient outcomes. According to Healthgrades’ annual analysis, if all hospitals performed similarly to America’s 100 Best Hospitals, 180,413 lives could have been saved, as measured across 30 rated conditions and procedures where mortality is the outcome.

“Healthgrades commends Cabell Huntington Hospital for their leadership and continued dedication to high quality care,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Data Science at Healthgrades. “As one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals, Cabell Huntington Hospital is elevating the standard for quality care nationwide and ensuring superior outcomes for the patients in their community.”
