Government Relations

Promoting healthcare advocacy and developing partnerships at all levels of government.
At Marshall Health Network, caring for people is at the heart of everything we do. We consider it our mission to improve your health and well-being so you can live your best life. And we know this work goes beyond the walls of our hospitals and physician offices. Promoting wellness and helping people reach their full potential requires us to bring attention to the issues and challenges facing our patients, caregivers and communities.

The Marshall Health Network advocacy team serves as the health system’s primary point of contact with state and federal legislators, government agencies and advocacy organizations to help shape policy as it is being created and to ensure laws and regulations implemented best serve our patients and communities. We use the expertise of our healthcare leaders, physicians, providers and staff to help communicate the vision and mission of Marshall Health Network, as well as the full spectrum of the services we provide and our economic impact on the communities we serve.

We’re honored to work with community leaders, government agencies, advocacy groups and others on your behalf. Our sole focus is on identifying and advocating for policies that improve our communities and support the health of all.

Among our top priorities are:

  • Community health improvement
  • Healthcare coverage
  • Healthcare quality and transparency
  • Patient and family health and safety
  • Support for our healthcare providers
  • Social determinants of health
  • Economic development
  • Providing opportunities for the community to engage in advocacy
