2024 Rising Star Awards

Marshall Health Network (MHN) honors employees who contribute to and promote culture and belonging across the system. 2024 Rising Star Award winners were recognized at the inaugural ceremony March 8, 2024, at St. Mary’s Center for Education.

“It was such an honor to recognize these outstanding individuals,” said Nina Wallace, manager of culture and belonging for MHN. “Together, we can create a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential. As Steven Anderson says, ‘Alone we are smart, but together we are brilliant.’”

The Rising Star Award for Leadership recognizes individuals who enhance existing practices in leadership positions and set a positive example. They demonstrate the dedication and enthusiasm to advance and inspire others to foster a workplace environment of integrity, acceptance, compassion and humility. The five winners are: 

• Tanya Morton, RN, house nursing supervisor, Cabell Huntington Hospital
• Amanda Clonch, RN, Cabell Huntington Hospital (not pictured)
• Angela Roberts, assistant director of food services, St. Mary’s Medical Center
• Jamie Saber, RN, nurse manager, St. Mary’s Medical Center (not pictured)
• Joseph Meadows, coder analyst, Marshall Health Network

The Rising Star award for Advocacy recognizes individuals who offer support to those in need. They go above and beyond to ensure that everyone's needs are addressed by helping individuals express their views and understand their rights. The winner is Heather Hamlin, RN, HIMG Pulmonary.
