Pleasant Valley Hospital Board of Trustees Named

Nine community members have been named to the Pleasant Valley Hospital Board of Trustees.

“I thank these outstanding members of our community for their service to Pleasant Valley Hospital and the patients it serves,” said Kevin Yingling, RPh, MD, FACP, CEO, Mountain Health Network. “The leadership and counsel of these nine people will be invaluable to us as we advance the future of health care in Mason, Jackson, Gallia and Meigs counties.”

The Board of Trustees members are:

Maurice Cooley is a U.S. Army veteran who worked for 26 years as a behavioral health clinician. He joined Marshall University in 2003 serving as the Director of African American Students, Associate Vice President of the Office of Intercultural Affairs and as Vice President and Dean of the Office of Intercultural and Student Affairs. Cooley retired in July and supports special projects as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar for the university.

Claire Cotrill is a Point Pleasant resident and pastor of LifeSpring Community Church in Point Pleasant. She also worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist for Mason County Schools.

C. Dallas Kayser, JD, is a Point Pleasant resident and the chairman of City Holding Co. and City National Bank. He retired as the senior partner of Kayser Layne and Clark.

Eddie Lanham is a resident of Point Pleasant and the Loan Administration and Collections Manager at Farmers Bank.

Michael Sellards is a career health care administrator, retiring in 2019 as the President and CEO of Pallottine Health Services and President and CEO of St. Mary’s Medical Center. He also previously served as the President and CEO of Pleasant Valley Hospital.

Leigh Ann Shepard is the First Vice President of City National Bank and a resident of Point Pleasant.

Rocky Sturgeon is the maintenance manager at APG Polytech in Apple Grove, W.Va., and Phoenix Technologies in Bowling Green, Ohio. He is a resident of Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va.

Robert Tayengco, MD, is an internist with PVH. He received his medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines, and has been in practice for more than 23 years.

Angie Zimmerman is the owner and broker of The Angie Zimmerman Realty Group, LLC. Previously, she worked for 26 years as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN, including 20 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Born and raised in Point Pleasant, Zimmerman returned home to be near family and now lives in Gallipolis Ferry.
